Adult athletic leagues and programs are offered year round for players of all skill levels. Indoor leagues include basketball, volleyball and dodgeball, located at the Recreation Center. Outdoor leagues are held at McCollum Park and Doerhoefer Park. All leagues offer regular season play followed by a playoff for qualifying teams. Register as a team to participate in a league. If you do not have a full team but are interested in joining a team, please sign-up as a free agent at Team Sideline.

Batter up! Get your friends together and get out on the field. Don't have a team? No problem! We'll help you find one. The league will play modified IHSA rules. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. Play each week on Sunday morning or afternoon. 8-game schedule followed by playoffs at the end of the season. Games each week will either be a double header or single game.

Adult Pickleball Clinics
See what pickleball is all about! Participants will be given a brief overview of the game and learn some beginner techniques. In the beginner clinics, players will learn the rules of the game, scoring, and play format along with the basic forehand, backhand, volley, serve, and basic strategies of the game. In the advanced clinic, players learn strategy and tactics, including split steps, serve and returns, dinks and 3rd shot drop, how to slice and put top spin on the ball.
Adult Pickleball Lessons
Join the pickleball craze! Pickleball, a game that combines elements of tennis, badminton and ping pong, is sweeping the country. Pickleball players use paddles and whiffle balls to play on a badminton-sized court with a slightly modified tennis net. Pickleball is a recreational game that is designed to encourage an active lifestyle. This class is for those who have never played pickleball before or who have very limited experience with the sport. It will focus on pickleball basics such as forehand and backhand shots, serving, and court positioning.
Adult soccer
This adult soccer program is a great way to meet new people. Open to all skill levels, this program provides an excellent combination of fun and exercise. Class consists of ten minutes of warm-ups followed by pickup style games ranging from small side to full field matches.
Formerly a $10 drop-in program, participants are now required to purchase a 5-, 10-, or 20-visit pass through our online registration system to participate. Unused visits never expire.

Fall 2025 Men's Basketball League 4445D01
Our men’s basketball league is for players who want to participate in a traditional open-paced league. Each team plays at least 10 games on Monday or Tuesday nights. A playoff follows the regular season. League play is governed by I.H.S.A. rules and regulations with local exceptions adopted. JN To be considered a resident team, 60% of team members must pay taxes to the Park District or be employed in Downers Grove. Players must submit copies of their driver’s license or employment pay stub of a company within Park District boundaries. At the time of registration, a $100 deposit is due, as well as a preliminary team roster, including names and addresses of all team members. Teams may register at the Recreation Center on a first-come, first-served basis until all slots are filled. Roster forms are available online at dgparks.org, at the Recreation Center, or the Lincoln Center.

Get a group of friends together and join a Downers Grove Park District league this fall. There are Men’s, Women’s and Co-Rec leagues that will fit any ability or competitiveness. Each division will play an 8 game season followed by a double-elimination playoff. All games are officiated with USVA rules. League play is tentatively scheduled to begin the week of September 11.

The All Star approach to baseball is one that will engage all players no matter their skill level. Our coaching technique will provide basic building blocks in a fun safe environment. We have created a system that keeps the players moving and learning even while in the dugout! Mechanics and hand-eye coordination are the keys to early success. Players in this program will be more confident in this active class as we work on the proper mechanics of catching, throwing, fielding, base running and batting. This fun and exciting program will prepare each player for the level II, t-ball or coach pitch leagues. All of our programs are based on learning teamwork and sportsmanship. Summer Junior League 3460R03
Aspiring golfers ages 12 - 18 are invited to join our junior golf league! This league runs for 7 weeks and is open to both boys and girls. The goal of our program is to provide an environment in which junior golfers, at all abilities, can play, have fun, learn and hopefully improve as the season progresses. To help keep the children engaged, each day of play there will be a fun contest on the course! Registration takes place online or in-person and each participant must be registered individually. Golfers and foursomes wanting to be paired together will have the opportunity to request a pairing during the registration process and all names must be supplied at the time of registration. Pairing requests must be close in age. Golfers will not be allowed to 'share' a spot on a team. Depending on enrollment numbers, tee times assigned will range from 11:30 am - 3:00 pm, and will be constant throughout the league. Pairings and tee times are assigned before league play and tee times go in age order. Golfers should have their own clubs. Important Information: Tee time requests cannot be considered due to age order assignments. Please be sure your child does not have conflicting activities during the duration of this league, as golfing outside the designated league times will not be accommodated. There will be no make-up opportunities for missed weeks. The main form of communication for this league is through email.
