pavilion rental information

Pavilion rentals for 2025 will be available online for Downers Grove Park District Residents beginning Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at 9am. Non-residents may reserve pavilions beginning Tuesday, April 1 at 9am. Pavilions are available to reserve from May 1 to October 15 only.

Please be sure to create your account or make sure you can access your existing account prior to the initial day of registration for your residency status to assist you in a smoother experience.

Residency Information

We verify residency for all pavilions reserved with a Downers Grove address. When reserving online, your reservation will be audited within 48 hours. You may be contacted to provide further proof of residency. Proof of residency required will be a driver's license and 2 current utility bills.  If we contact you regarding residency, your proof of residency must be received within 48 hours of notification or the reservation will be cancelled and $25 cancellation fee will be assessed.

Organizations

Organizations, corporations and companies reserving pavilions during the Resident registration period must be located within Park District Boundaries. Priority registration and rental fees are based on the organization's location, not the individual or group making the reservation.  

Individuals, groups or organizations reserving on behalf of an organization for the purpose of hosting a corporate gathering such as, but not limited to, a company picnic or team-building events are required to submit a Certificate of Insurance (COI) at least two weeks in advance of the event date. Failure to submit the COI, will result in cancellation of reservation and deposit fees will be forfeited.

Pavilion RuleS, rEGULATIONS & Information

  • Only (1) one rental per pavilion, per day
    Only (1) one rental, per household, per date
  • Alcohol is prohibited at all parks.
  • Pavilion usage requires a permit, regardless of the groups size.
  • Tobacco use, smoking and vaping shall be prohibited at Fishel Park during events and at playgrounds.
  • Unmanned aircraft systems (drones and model aircraft) may not be operated on, over or across the District Property.
  • Portable propane gas and charcoal grills are permitted: however, coals must be disposed properly by either removing them from the park or placing them in a fireproof container. Hot coals are not to be dumped anywhere in the parks, including the base of trees. Failure to comply may result in a $25 deduction of deposit fees.
  • All vehicles and trailers must remain in designated parking areas unless preapproved by the Park District. Parking on the grass is prohibited.
  • Rentals will be required to meet all guidelines in place on the date of the rental.
  • Each rental is charged a $100 Deposit in addition to the daily rental fee. Full rental fees and $100 deposit must be paid at time of reservation.
  • Deposits are refunded after the event takes place, provided the pavilion was left in satisfactory condition.
  • Pavilions are permitted from from May 1 to October 15.
  • Water/Restrooms - Weather conditions can affect the timing of when staff can turn water on and off.
  • You are permitting the pavilion only. Athletic fields and baseball diamonds are not included. A separate permit will be required for fields and diamonds, depending on availability.    Field Rental Information
  • Park District Staff is not responsible for the location of picnic tables.
  • Garbage is generally picked up at least once per day.
  • Groups that do not follow all park district rules, ordinances and restrictions will be asked to vacate the pavilion immediately and a refund of fees will not be given.
  • The individual reserving the pavilion assumes full responsibility for the rental and is required to be present throughout the entire rental period. Any Inaccurate information provided may lead to the cancellation of the permit, resulting in the forfeiture of rental charges and/or deposit. Communication will exclusively be conducted with the pavilion reservation contact.

 

Refund Policy

A refund request must be submitted to the District no later than 5 calendar days prior to the reservation date to receive a refund of deposit fees & rental fees less a $25 cancellation fee. Refund requests received in less than 5 calendar days will result in forfeiture of deposit fees and receive a refund of rental fees less a $25 cancellation fee.
