Private Pottery Parties

Due to the requirements outlined in Tier 3 of Governor Pritzker's Mitigation Plan, the Downers Grove Park District will not be scheduling Pottery Parties until further notice. The Downers Grove Park District remains committed to following the state guidelines to help slow the spread of COVID-19 and the new mitigation measures will have a significant impact on recreation programs and facilities.

Looking for a fun night (or day) out with just your closest friends/family? Schedule your own private pottery party with us! Spend time exploring the world of ceramics, learning hand-building techniques, and making a unique, one-of-a-kind project! A separate pick-up day will be scheduled after projects are fired. Please note that all attendees will be creating the same project, chosen by our instructor based on the ages of your group.

All requests must be submitted at least 2 weeks prior to requested date. Once we have received your request, we will contact you to confirm or discuss your party. Dates/times are subject to instructor availability - Tuesday and Wednesday dates are currently not available. All attendees should be at least 3 years old. All children under the age of 5 must have an adult present with them.

  • Cost: Up to three people: Residents: $100 / Non-residents: $130

  • $12 for each additional person

  • Length: 1 1/2 hours

  • Location: Lincoln Center

COVID-19 Precautions: We are currently limiting parties to 10 people, maximum; this includes any adult chaperones for children under the age of 5. Face coverings must be worn at all times by all attendees and staff. All persons entering the building will be required to have their temperature checked by a trained staff member. This includes parents and siblings. Per CDC guidelines, if someone in your group has a temperature of 100.4?F or higher, you will not be allowed to enter the facility. We will not record or store any information regarding the temperature checks and contactless thermometers will be used.
