    Now that Illinois has moved to Phase 5 of the Restore Illinois Plan, capacity limits have been lifted for festivals. Therefore, tickets will no longer be required for the Summer Concert Series!

    In accordance with the guidelines issued by the Office of the Governor on June 4, face coverings and social distancing are no longer required for fully vaccinated individuals. The Downers Grove Park District recommends that face coverings be worn indoors AND outdoors for ALL program participants who are not fully vaccinated.

    From The Office of the Governor Press Release:

    • Upon entering Phase 5, fully vaccinated people can resume activities without wearing a mask except where required by federal, state, local, tribal, or territorial laws, rules and regulations, including local business and workplace guidance.

    • The State will continue to recommend masking for unvaccinated persons, and require it for all people while traveling on public transportation, in congregate settings, in health care settings, as well as in schools, day cares, and educational institutions pursuant to the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) and CDC guidance. Businesses and local municipalities can put in place additional mitigations as they deem appropriate.


    2021 Summer Concert Series

    KICK BACK, RELAX AND ENJOY FREE LIVE MUSIC ALL SUMMER LONG AT VETERANS MEMORIAL PAVILION IN FISHEL PARK!

    The FREE concerts begin at 7 pm on Tuesday evenings May 25 through August 17 and will feature rock, country, blues and oldies. Watch the concerts in person at Fishel Park OR watch online from home with our live streamed show on the Downers Grove Parks YouTube channel!

    Doors open and food and beverage sales begin at 6pm each Tuesday. Fishel Park is located at 1036 Grove Street in Downers Grove. Don't forget to bring your lawn chairs or blankets!

    WHAT TO EXPECT IN 2021:

    The Downers Grove Park District has reformatted the 2021 Summer Concert Series to meet state guidelines and capacity requirements to safely offer this event to the community. We ask for your patience as the concerts will be hosted in a different format as we navigate through the pandemic this summer. We hope to return to our usual concert format in 2022.

    • In accordance with Phase 5 guidelines and as recommended by the CDC, face coverings and social distancing are recommended for individuals who are not fully vaccinated.
    • The Downers Grove Park District asks that visitors follow the state guidelines.
    • Visitors are welcome to bring their own food; outside alcohol is prohibited.
    • Restrooms will be available.
    • The Concert Series format is subject to change following any changes to state guidelines.

    Visitors are welcome to bring their own food and beverages to the event. Outside alcohol is strictly prohibited. Onsite food and beverage sales will begin at 6pm each evening.

    A valid driver's license or state ID is required for ALL participants ages 21 years or older wishing to purchase and consume adult beverages. All individuals consuming adult beverages must wear a wristband. Beverage tickets may be purchased with cash or debit/credit. Bills over $20 will not be accepted. The nearest ATM is located at Bank Financial located at 5140 Main St.

    How can I watch the live concert online?

    The concerts will be live streamed beginning at 7pm on Tuesday evenings May 25 to Aug. 17. The concerts will appear as the top video on our YouTube page once they begin streaming. Enjoy the concert from the comfort of your own home or yard!

    What if there is rain or severe weather?

    The Summer Concert Series is held rain or shine. If there is severe weather, the concert will be canceled as quickly as possible. An announcement will be posted on the District's homepage at www.dgparks.org. Tickets for a canceled concert are not valid for another concert. Canceled concerts will not be rescheduled. If the Thorguard Lightning Detection System alarm is triggered during the event, all visitors will be asked to take shelter in their vehicles and the concert will likely be canceled.

    Do I need to bring chairs?

    Yes, guests should bring their own chairs or blankets.

    Are dogs allowed?

    As we have allowed in the past, dogs are welcome to attend the Concert Series, but must remain on leash.

    May I bring outside food and beverages?

    Visitors are welcome to bring their own food and beverages to the event. Outside alcohol is strictly prohibited. Onsite food and beverage sales will begin at 6pm each evening. Beverage tickets are valid through the entire 2021 Concert Series.

    Will you accept cash or credit?

    Beverage tickets may be purchased with cash or debit/credit. Bills over $20 will not be accepted. The nearest ATM is located at Bank Financial located at 5140 Main St. Beverage tickets are valid through the entire 2021 Concert Series.

    Will the playground be available?

    Yes, the playground will be available for concert guests.

    Kick back, relax and enjoy free live music all summer long at Veterans Memorial Pavilion in Fishel Park! Concerts begin at 7 pm on Tuesday evenings May 25 through August 17 and will feature rock, country, blues and oldies. Watch the concerts in person at Fishel Park with a reserved viewing area for six OR watch online from home with our live streamed show! Fishel Park is located on Grove Street just west of Main Street.

    The Concert Series format is subject to change following any changes to state guidelines.
