Fees are collected at the Recreation Center registration counter. There are three ways to pay during open gym times:

  • Admission is available by paying a daily fee.
  • Downers Grove Park District residents can purchase a Play Pass for all open gyms except batting cages. Play Passes cannot be shared and visits expire one year from date of purchase.

Each paid admission allows entry into the gymnasium only for one specific open gym program and use of the locker rooms adjacent to the gym. Other areas of the Recreation Center may be used at an additional fee.

Wrist Bands:
Each participant in any open gym program is given a wristband that must be worn during the entire open gym time. Wristbands show proof of payment and help Park District staff control the number of participants in the gym. Anyone not wearing a wristband will be asked to leave the gym and will be allowed to re-enter only after payment is made.

Childcare is available during many open gyms. Click here for further information.
