Alexa Hanlon
Alexa Hanlon is a seamstress, parent, and an environmental sustainability expert! She has been sewing since she got her first machine at 9 years old, and has her own sewing business. She worked in the costume shop for the theater at Wheaton College when she was a student, where she learned a TON from many talented sewists. Her favorite things to sew are from thrifted or reclaimed materials, and she loves teaching people how to prolong the life of items they already own. She can't wait to sew with you!
Marybeth Lewanski
With a lifelong love of sewing, Marybeth finds endless joy in transforming imagination and inspiration into something tangible through fabric. As the owner of two online clothing shops, she has developed hands-on experience designing, creating, and giving new life to unique garments. Sewing has always been more than a craft for her—it is a way to express individuality, creativity, and personal style. Marybeth is passionate about sharing that creativity with the next generation and helping students discover the satisfaction that comes from making something with their own hands. As a sewing instructor, she encourages students to experiment, build confidence, and embrace their own creative ideas. Marybeth’s goal is to make sewing fun, approachable, and inspiring while giving each student the skills and confidence to create something uniquely their own.
