Playground Renovation Projects

This fall, the playgrounds at Loy and Northside Parks will undergo renovations! Construction will begin on Friday, August 23, weather permitting, and the playgrounds will be temporarily closed during this period. The new and improved playgrounds are expected to reopen in mid-November.

Parts from both existing playgrounds will be donated to Kids Around the World. Kids Around the World, a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. The organization will use the parts in refurbished playgrounds in other countries. Learn more at https://www.katw.net/.

Warren Avenue & Pershing Avenue
The wood play surfacing will be replaced with new artificial turf and new play equipment will be installed.

Northside Park

Vernard Road and Saratoga Avenue
The wood play surfacing will be replaced with new artificial turf and an accessible sidewalk will be constructed from the Vernard Rd. sidewalk to the new playground.
