Patriots Park Bridge Renovation

Coming this Spring!
Replacement of the 45-year-old pedestrian bridge located near the east side of Patriots Park will begin on Monday, April 4. The new bridge will be 10 feet wide to allow easier crossing for pedestrians, bicycles, and wheelchairs. The bridge will be constructed of weathering steel with IPE hardwood decking, and will comply with current ADA accessibility standards.
Construction is anticipated to take approximately 6 weeks (weather dependent) ending in early May. During this time, the bridge will be closed to patrons. The walking path surrounding Barth Pond will remain open and accessible to the public, but the bridge will not be available for crossing. Thank you for your patience during this project!

May 5 Update
The new pedestrian bridge has been lifted and set into place! Just a few more finishing touches and it will be open for use.
