Special Events
We’re gearing up for a season of awesome events! Families can gather for live outdoor music at the Summer Concert Series on Tuesday evenings from May 28 to Aug. 20. Take a run/walk in the all-new BBQ Bolt on July 20. Reel in three hours of fun at the Fishing Derby on Aug. 3.

Park Pavilions
Perfect for company picnics, family reunions, graduation parties and more! Many of our most popular parks feature one or more pavilions with barbeque pits, picnic tables and public washroom access.

Garden Plots
Have a green thumb? Grow your own produce and reap the benefits at Mar-Duke Farm. This location offers over 300 plots with convenient water access and parking. Also available are newly added raised beds that provide ADA accessibility.

Pool Pass Exchange
Residents of Downers Grove can receive resident rates at Paradise Bay Waterpark in Lombard or at the Butterfield Park District Recreation & Aquatic Center. The resident verifications are ongoing at the Rec Center and Lincoln Center.

Athletic Fields & Courts
Athletic fields within the Downers Grove Park District are available to rent for baseball, football, lacrosse, soccer and softball. A newly renovated synthetic turf field is available at Doerhoefer Park for games, practices or tournaments.

Stay active with outdoor sports leagues! Youth leagues include soccer, flag football, T-Ball and lacrosse. Adults can enjoy soccer, softball, baseball, sand volleyball and bags. Additional indoor leagues are available.

Play 9 holes at the historic Downers Grove Golf Club (opening date coming soon). The all-new driving range shelter is open year round. The Golf Club is a great location for a group outing as well as corporate and charity events.

Kids will enjoy the Passport to Safety, Flashlight Egg Hunt and Fishing Derby. Adults can team up for the Annual Road Rally and Couples Scramble.
