For the last 75 years, the Downers Grove Park District has enriched the community through natural area preservation.
The Downers Grove Park District is pleased to partner with the Possibility Place Nursery to expand our commitment to the preservation of our natural areas through a Native Plant Sale promotion! Purchase native plants for your own home landscape through Possibility Place Nursery and 10% of each sale will be donated to the Downers Grove Park District’s Growing the Grove Tree Donation Program. These proceeds will assist in planting 75 trees to celebrate the Downers Grove Park District’s 75th Anniversary.
A great way to address a difficult landscape situation – wet areas in your yard.
Why plant a rain garden? No doubt you have noticed areas in your yard that hold water after rain events, or you have an area that gets saturated with water from downspouts or sump lines. Installing native plants in that wet spot can help create a more diverse habitat, help absorb excess water, support pollinators and add beauty to your yard.
