The Downers Grove Park District is proud to announce a standout achievement at the IAPD/IPRA Agency Showcase Marketing Competition, a professionally judged program that recognizes excellence in marketing and communication among Illinois park and recreation agencies. The competition highlights outstanding work across a wide range of platforms—from print materials to multimedia campaigns.
On Friday, January 27, the District earned 2nd Place Overall with its creatively themed entry, “Lights, Camera, Action.” The prestigious Overall Award is presented to the agency with the highest cumulative score, based on eight selected entries and a coordinated table display—making this honor a true testament to the strength, consistency, and creativity of the District’s marketing efforts.
In addition to taking home the top overall prize, the Downers Grove Park District received recognition in multiple individual categories:
1st Place – Print Communication (Informational) for a Lyman Woods interpretive sign panel
2nd Place – Social Media Campaign for The Final Cut Haunted House
3rd Place – Table Display
These awards celebrate the dedication and talent of the District’s marketing team, whose work continues to inform, engage, and inspire the community.
