Fond farewells and warm welcomes

On Thursday, May 2, the Downers Grove Park District swore in newly elected Commissioners Jon Dahlstrom and Lizz Hellinga and returning Commissioner Cathy Mahoney.
The Downers Grove Park District Board of Commissioners appointed the following officers:
- Tom Salaba - President
- Cathy Mahoney - Vice President
- Sandra McDonnell - Secretary
- Jon Dahlstrom - Treasurer
The District also bid a fond farewell to outgoing Commissioners Bob Gelwicks and Frank Livorsi and honored them for their dedication and service to the community. President Bob Gelwicks has served on the board since 2004 and Commissioner Frank Livorsi joined the board in 2015.
