CANCELLATION POLICY

Cancellation/refund requests must be made at least 5 days prior to the start of a camp session in order to qualify for a full refund. Any requests received less than 5 days prior to the start of a camp session will only be approved if accompanied by a doctor's note due to a medical reason. Self-cancellation prior to the deadline can be done online through your account or you can visit www.dgparks.org/request-a-refund to complete a refund request form. No refunds will be given for missed camp days unless cancelled by the park district.


Participant information/emergency forms

  • Information/emergency forms for each camper must be completed no later the Wednesday prior to each camp session through our new ePACT system.
  • Within 1 week of your camp registration, you should receive an email from ePACT to set up an online account and complete your camper's electronic information/emergency forms.
  • If you camper is enrolled in a program that is currently using the ePACT system, you only need to update your child's information if something has changed.
  • Your camper will not be allowed to attend camp until the information/emergency forms are completed.

Exploration Station

June 14 to Aug. 5 | Ages 3-5

Choose 3 days or 5 days! Preschool campers have a blast making new friends while enjoying stimulating activities in a supportive atmosphere. Creativity and imagination abound as campers actively engage in their world through arts and crafts, stories, songs, indoor and outdoor games and free play time. Camp activities enhance social skills and ease separation anxiety. Children must be toilet-trained (no Pull-Ups).


pee wee camp

June 14 to Aug. 4 | Age 2-3.5

Now three days per week! Is your child ready to begin his or her journey into independence? Pee Wee Camp is designed to help young children transition into a structured program where gaining independence and fostering socialization skills are emphasized. A caring and comforting environment with experienced teachers are the heart of the program. Creative expression, circle time and motor skill development will help your child get ready for their next classroom adventure. Class structure is consistent with the fall 2-year-old program--the stepping stone to the Lincoln Learning Center Preschool Program. Pull-Ups are permitted for campers who are working on potty-training skills. Registrations will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis until filled.


new! jump start Preschool CAMP

June 21 to July 28 | Age 3-5

Are you looking to extend your campers day or are you looking to prepare your child for kindergarten or full day preschool? Campers will participate in large- and small-group activities in math and science. Other activities may include crafts, exploration time in the preschool rooms or the gym or outside. Add Exploration Station Camp to make camp a 5-hour day. Campers will need to bring a lunch if they are registered for Exploration Station or Arts Playschool Camp.


safety town

July 25 to Aug. 5 | Age 5-6

Safety Town is a nationally recognized safety education program presented by the Downers Grove Police Department, Downers Grove Junior Woman's Club, Downers Grove Park District and teen volunteers. A mini safety town, complete with kid-sized buildings, street signs and sidewalks, provides an environment where children learn pedestrian, passenger and at home safety. Children ride big wheel trikes and enjoy visits by local school bus and fire department staff, while learning bike, school bus and fire safety lessons. On the last day of each session, children will receive a certificate and share their learning experience. Each child receives an official Safety Town T-shirt and class picture. A detailed program outline is provided prior to the start of the program.


summer arts playschool camp

May 23 to Sept. 1 | Age 3-6

Arts Playschool is an arts-enrichment program that brings together children's creative mind/body connection with the arts. Your child will explore emotions, social skills, mindfulness, and social emotional learning through our energetic and caring instructors. To maintain safety, each child will receive their own kit of arts supplies and materials for each project that they can take home at the end of the session. Games and activities will be modified to accommodate social distancing. Face covering guidelines will be emailed to parents before the start of camp.
