The Illinois Association of Museums awards are a celebration of excellence and dedication within our museum community. These prestigious awards recognize outstanding contributions and achievements in various categories, highlighting the individuals and institutions that make our field vibrant and dynamic.
The Innovation Award is a new IAM award for 2025 which highlights a project or practice that was new/different/experimental for your museum, focusing on what staff learned from this project/practice as well as how we plan to apply this knowledge in the future. This recognition celebrates the creativity and community impact of “Sip Sip Hooray,” an engaging program that combines local history with a fun, social experience. Through this unique event, we’ve brought our community together to toast to Downers Grove’s rich heritage in a lively and accessible way.
