Downers Grove Park District summer camps include action-packed sport camps, unique specialty camps, traditional day camps and our ever-popular preschool camps! Take a swing at our new golf camps or explore your historical side at one of our museum camps. It’s your chance to play at the Downers Grove Park District.
Browse the Spring/Summer guide online for details of over 50 more camps, for children of all ages, offered by the park district. Your kids can learn lacrosse, improve their baseball skills with the White Sox, become a beekeeper at Lyman Woods, discover Civil War history at the museum, get professional golf tuition at Downers Grove Golf Club, perform in a Shakespeare in the Park event or take part in the overnight Wilderness Games Adventure.
Adventure Camp combines a traditional day camp experience with exciting field trips each week. campers will take part in group games, sports, skits, songs, stories, crafts and team building activities in a healthy outdoor setting at Hummer Park, as well as regular trips to local swimming pools and field trips to destinations including Brookfield Zoo, Medieval Times and the Museum of Science and Industry! Standard camp hours are Monday - Friday from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm and Before Hours (6:30 - 8:30 am) & After Hours (4:00 - 6:00 pm) are also offered.
27 trips over nine weeks for only $150 a week means Teen Trekkers is the perfect way to keep your teens active and entertained over summer. As well as frequent trips to local pools, three field trips are held each week with destinations including Six Flags Great America, Starved Rock State Park, Raging Waves water park and the Field Museum.
