With almost 600 acres of parks and facilities, there are thousands of opportunities for individuals of all ages and interests to grow, play, imagine and explore.
Winner of the National Gold Medal for Excellence in Park and Recreation Management in 1983 and a Gold Medal Finalist in 2009 (watch video), the District takes pride in it's ability to provide high quality recreational experiences and facilities to the community. With just a point and a click, you can visit our historic Golf Course and reserve a tee time, learn how we are preserving and protecting natural resources such as Lyman Woods and Belmont Prairie, or start on the path to a healthier lifestyle at our 69,000 sq. ft. state of the art Recreation and Fitness Center. It's your chance to play at the Downers Grove Park District.
