Pursue fulfilling activities including recreation, education, health, nutrition and social service. All programs are designed for, but not limited to, adults 55 years and older. The Active Adult Center is located on the third level of Lincoln Center, 935 Maple Avenue.

A New Look for Active Adult Programs!
Active adults can now find a comprehensive listing of leisure activities within the Adult General Interest section of the Seasonal Recreation and Parks Guides. These programs include adult education, arts, general interest programs, parties and trips. This new, all-inclusive format replaces the Connections newsletter publication. The seasonal program guides are available at all park district facilities, on the homepage and posted on the Active Adult information board located on the third level of Lincoln Center.
Active Adult Center Travel
Day trips include destinations such as professional performances, concerts, sporting events, shopping trips, casinos, cultural tours and restaurant dining. Extended trips give special attention to dietary needs, slow-paced itineraries and comfortable accommodations. Contact the Active Adult Center for information about trips.
On the Road
Spend a day with friends enjoying food, scenic tours or sporting events.

Family trips are open to all ages.
A responsible adult must accompany all children under the age of 16.
Extended Trips
The Downers Grove Park District offers a unique travel experience with slow-paced itineraries and comfortable accommodations. Travel in the company of friends without the worry of making individual arrangements.
Parties, Programs, and Special Events
Popcorn Matinee
Join the fun as we present new feature films on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month. Movies are advertised at the Active Adult Center. Popcorn and snacks are available for a small fee.

Bridge Lessons

Dial-A-Ride
Dial-A-Ride is a service sponsored by Downers Grove Township. Township residents 65 or better, or who have a disability, may travel anywhere within the township, to Good Samaritan Hospital and to Suburban Hospital, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm Riders must have an RTA pass, which can be applied for at the Township office. Rides must be reserved at least two days in advance by calling the Downers Grove Township office at (630) 968-6408. The fare is $5.00 for each one-way trip.
