Have you started planning spring and summer get-togethers? Reserve a Downers Grove Park District site by completing and submitting a park permit request form available at the Recreation Center, 4500 Belmont Road, Lincoln Center, 935 Maple Avenue or online. Outdoor facility permits are required for groups of 20 or more one week in advance of permit date. Resident groups may submit requests online or in person beginning the first business day in February. Nonresident groups may submit requests beginning the first business day in March.
Park shelters/pavilions are available at Gilbert, Hummer, McCollum, Patriot’s, Prince Pond, Washington and Whitlock park sites. Beginning April 15, registered Rec Connect users may reserve athletic fields for May through August. The turf field at Doerhoefer Park is available for rent throughout the year.See pavilion information here.
Special Event Permits
In order to accommodate the unique needs of large groups, park permit requests with 100 or more attendees are considered a special event and require a special event application to be completed in addition to the park permit request. Fees are based on a four hour minimum.
Please note that there is a fee for picnic site and park facility usage and alcoholic beverages are not permitted in any Park District facility. Restrooms are available from mid-April through late October. Picnic/pavilion reservations for groups of 100 or more require a special event permit. To view online availability, click on REC Connect. Once on the REC Connect home page, select your desired facility type located under the 'Facility by Type' options at the bottom of the page. Fill in the required information questions. If you would like to narrow your search options, expand the 'Show Search Criteria' for more options. Click 'Search' to view availability. Please note: Rental requests less than 3 days in advance cannot be processed online. Please call our registration office at 630-963-1300 and staff will try to accommodate your request.
