Winter Weather Program Cancellation/Closing Information
Whenever School District 58 cancels classes due to hazardous weather conditions, all Park District youth and early childhood programs held before 3pm will also be cancelled. All classes that are scheduled to be held after 3pm are re-evaluated at 12:00 Noon with an update posted on this website or the Parkline (630-963-0575). Park District facilities such as the Recreation & Fitness Center, Lincoln Center, Museum, and Interpretive Center shall remain open for non-scheduled activities unless specifically directed to close due to weather conditions.
District 58 announces cancellation of classes on the following stations: WGN-AM (720), WBBM-AM/FM (96.3), WLS-AM/FM (AM 890 and FM 94.7) and US 99 (FM 99.5). The Village of Downers Grove Emergency Information Hotline at 630-434-6800 will also list school district closings. Check the Calendar of Events in the left column on this website for updated program schedules and information if hazardous weather conditions are present.

The Downers Grove Park District offers gift cards that can be used for hundreds of different classes, activities and fun events that excite, stimulate and challenge! This original gift allows the recipient to choose what to do and when gift cards may be purchased in any amount and can be used when registering for any recreational program. Gift cards can be purchased at Lincoln Center, 935 Maple Avenue, the Recreation Center, 4500 Belmont Road or the Golf Course, 2420 Haddow Avenue. Call (630) 963-1300 for more information.
