Teen Fitness University
Become a Fitness Center member before age 15!
Teens ages 12 to 14 can get certified to be a Fitness Center member by completing a training program with an American Council on Exercise certified personal trainer. This personalized training program includes three one-hour sessions focused on proper warm-up, strength, cardiovascular conditioning, flexibility, cool down, nutrition, fitness etiquette and safe and correct form on Fitness Center machines. Eligibility is determined by the personal trainer. Once you are certified you can purchase a Fitness Center membership and you no longer need a parent/guardian to be with you in the Fitness Center. Jeanette Kay
Jeanette has a Bachelor's degree in nutrition and is certified by the American Council on Exercise. Her focus is on helping you identify your fitness and weight loss goals and then designing a customized program to help you safely and effectively achieve them.
Didge Donovan
Didge(BA,MAEd)offers a balanced functional program incorporating strength, cardiovascular, flexibility and agility training. She will help you develop a fitness platform you can use in maximizing your physical performance and optimizing your health. Didge is certified by the American Council on Exercise and has experience in adult preventive physical fitness training.
Pete Wilt
Pete is certified by the American Council on Exercise and is dedicated to providing you with the knowledge and motivation to achieve and maintain your fitness or sports performance objectives. Pete incorporates the latest health information and techniques into your customized training plan.
Anna Aquino
Anna is certified by the American Council of Exercise and is eager to help you experience the physical and emotional benefits of fitness. Her goals are to educate and motivate you and to help you define and achieve your fitness goals and maintain a healthy, active lifestyle.
The Art of Massage
Massage is a healing art as well as a science; it requires a balance of technical knowledge, clinical skills, sensitivity and awareness. Everyone has the innate resources or natural gifts to touch another with care and confidence. However, it takes a sincere desire to help other, along with commitments to the time, energy and focus necessary for the training process in order to become a solid practitioner.

Massage Therapist Bios
John Jardon C.M.T
John is a Licensed Massage Therapist by the State of Illinois and certified by the National Certification Board of Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork. He graduated from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, and studied massage therapy at the Advanced Anatomy Massage Academy in Villa Park. He is also a member of Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals and the Emergency Response Massage International team (ERMI); providing stress relief chair massage for first responders to disasters such as Hurricane Katrina.
John wants to help other people develop healthy lifestyles through massage and bodywork, including Swedish, sports, deep tissue, hot rock massage and seated chair as well as reflexology and craniosacral therapy. John has been a part of the Downers Grove Community since 1974.
Patti Mickow C.M.T.Patti is a Licensed Massage Therapist by the State of Illinois and graduated from the Wellness and Massage Therapy Institute and is certified by the National Certification Board of Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork. Her bodywork experience includes stress reduction and therapeutic massage in a chiropractic environment. Patti is versed in a variety of therapeutic and relaxing techniques including Swedish, deep tissue, pre-natal, reflexology and sports massage. She is also a member of Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals.
